70 Years Of Independence! But are we really free?
15 august was the date when 330 million people’s heart jumped up by the news of their independence from British rule. After a vicious rule of 150 years Britishers finally left our country and they left behind a desolate and broken India. Before their arrival India was a “Golden Bird” but later it was not more than demolition of such an angelic country. But we Indians were not among the one who steps back. We are fighters and we fought against everything from starvation to poverty. Once our war got over against every social evil we finally reached on a level where other thought we are great. But in reality we are still suffering from much atrocious stuff. Everyone talks about independence but in such a vast population of 15 billion does everyone feel it?
No. In India which is a colossal country, people still here feel as if they are not independent.
It is twenty-first century and everyone is progressing in their respective fields. But the mentality of people is still the same. Even today when a girl goes out of his house at dark, she has fear in heart. Fear of society, fear of people’s thinking. If our country is independent then why this fear exist and that makes us think 70 Years Of Independence! But are we really free?
There are 206 countries in the world and every country’s citizen speaks their national language with whole his/her pride. But in India foreign language is more valuable than the indigenous ones. In European countries English is the only language. But in India from job interviews to school classrooms and English is mandatory. Whereas we are leaving behind our pride, our language Hindi and then we say we are independent.
During the making of our constitution our great leaders were having a vision for their country and dreaming for a better India. But with their deaths their vision was dead. And slowly our nation went on the wrong path. The weapon of “Bapu” got burnt with his corpse as now he and his paths are completely forgotten.
Instead of peace and non violence people today takes the path of evilness due to which our country is slowly and silently dying of pain from inside. But still we have time if we all come together then we can make the dream of our leaders who had sacrificed their lives for independence come true.
